Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India (GoI) have conveyed that the Banks should not consider/ accept any fresh applications under the ACSIS Scheme till further guidelines.
Henceforth i.e. from June 2023 quarter onwards the member banks will have to submit only RENEWAL CLAIMS(claims in respect of those accounts that were uploaded in the portal till march 2022 quarter) under the said scheme.
The claims that were already uploaded for the first time during FY 2022-23 and due for renewal during this financial year i.e. FY 2023-24 will not be considered.

Subsidy on Education Loans

Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA), Government of India (GOI) has conveyed that the scheme of interest subsidy on Education Loans for Overseas Studies for the students belonging to the Minority Communities (Padho Pardesh), through Canara Bank stands discontinued from FY 2022-23.
The existing beneficiaries as on 31-03-2022 will continue to receive the interest subsidy during the moratorium period of the loan, subject to the compliance with the extant guidelines.

COVID-19 Regulatory Package for Term Loans and Working Capital Limits

Based on the regulatory package announced by the Reserve Bank of India, Bank’s are allowed to reschedule the payments in term loans and deferment of interest in working Capital facilities to mitigate the burden of debt servicing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure the continuity of viable businesses In line with the RBI guidelines and to support our customers during this hard times Kerala Gramin Bank extends the benefits of moratorium to our customers.
As per the COVID 19 regulatory package announced by Reserve Bank of India, we have initiated steps to defer the instalments and interest/EMIs in all standard Term Loans falling due between 01.03.2020 to 31.08.2020 for all customers by 3 months. Accordingly, the total repayment period will be extended by 6 months over the existing repayment period. Please note that Interest shall continue to accrue on the outstanding portion of the Term Loan at contracted rates during the moratorium period.
Wherever repayment is effected through National Automated Clearing House (NACH) / ECS / Standing Instruction (SI), submit the request for availing moratorium by contacting the branch.
All standard working capital facilities (Cash credit/Overdraft) outstanding as on 01st March 2020 are eligible for the moratorium. Interest applied in the accounts during the period between 1st March 2020 and 31st August 2020 will be deferred. Please note that Interest shall continue to accrue on the outstanding portion of working capital facilities at the contracted rates.
The moratorium/deferment granted to borrowers will not be treated as default on the part of borrowers for the purposes of supervisory reporting and reporting to credit information companies (CICs).

With effect from 01-08-2019, in accordance with the notification issued by Govt. of Kerala, Kerala Flood Cess @1%, in addition to the GST @18%, shall be levied on all charges collected from customers who are not registered under GST.
Flood Cess @ .25% shall be collected from all gold auction bidders who are not registered under GST, in addition to the GST collected @ 3%.

Chairman Sri. M K Ravikrishnan inaugurating KGB’s Aadhaar Seva Kendra network in Balussery in the presence of Sri. Sunil P L, LDM, Kozhikodre. As per the directions of GoI, KGB is opening Aadhaar Seva Kendras in its 52 branches across Kerala. Through centres one can enroll for new Aadhaar and make corrections in existing Aadhaar. The service is open to the public.
