Kerala Gramin Bank (KGB) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and United India Insurance Company Ltd (UII) for providing life and accident insurance covers to all the savings account holders of the bank under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) announced by the Union government as part of the PMJDY programme.Download
Whereas the Central Government, after consultation with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Government of Kerala, Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank being the Sponsor Banks of North Malabar Gramin Bank and South Malabar Gramin Bank, is of the opinion that it is necessary in the public interest and in the interest of the development of the area served by the aforesaid Regional Rural Banks and also in the interest of the said Regional Rural Banks themselves, that the said Regional Rural Banks should be amalgamated into a single Regional Rural Bank;Download
